This is a short student film about two fellow artists, one of which is struggling to put paint to canvas. The film follows the everyday life of Ella as she wrestles to free herself from her overbearing boyfriend, her inability to focus and envy of her friends impressive attitude to work and life. The film is shot on a Canon 550D utilising a lot of crane and tracking shots although the final edit has been shortened so a lot of this movement has been lost there are still elements of that in the finished film. We used a DSLR for the ability to move the camera around quickly and get the most out of it in enclosed spaces and complicated movements. We also used animations combined with live action that are supposed to be visible inside the main characters head and spend most of their time judging her life decisions.

Zombie Dinner Date

Directors:  John RIley

Screenwriter:  John Riley

Genre:  Comedy

This is a short comedy sketch shot on the panasonic GH4 shot to look like a horror film in stark contrast to the comedy of the script. The opening tracking shot was shot using roller blades and an electrical cable as no tracks were available. This sketch was shot in Bucharest, Romania where I had been living since finishing university in order to get some industry work experience. A team of professionals from Sector 7 worked on the set including one member of the cast and the other two were specially selected by the Director who has also worked on feature films.

After Party

Directors:  Lucy Smith Jones

Screenwriter:  Lucy Smith Jones

Genre:  Comedy/Prequel

This film was made as a technical excersise and prequel to What would Dali do. Shot on a Canon 5D mk2 and lit to look quite bright and vibrant reflecting the characters and their lifestyles. Most of this film was handheld apart from some sequences where we used a tripod and crane. This film was made to be a kind of teaser to the main film and we used it as part of our Indiegogo campaign (raising £648)

Directors:  Georgina Mcloughin, Leon Riley, Lucy Smith Jones, Sam Brown

Genre:  Silent film (Camera technical excersise)

This is a short film with a set of criteria (To have a long take minimum one minute, use colour to show change of mood in the shot and use 3 completely different locations) The long take at the start was all handheld by myself and included walking backwards and many attempts by the people in shot to get their timing right but I think was a good example of working as a team.

Nimic Nou 23 - Gabori, Manele si Blug

Created by Sector 7

I was filming the soapbox team with a DSLR for the part of the episode that talks about the red bull soap box event, the first of its kind in Romania. Sector 7 is a slightly outspoken comedy film production company that makes web episodes, sketches and has links to TV as well. They also do some commissioned work such as advertising.
